# How to connect your own domain.

URL: https://antideploy.com/blog/how-to-connect-your-own-domain

Add your domain in the console, then add one DNS record at your registrar. HTTPS is issued for you, usually within two minutes.

## At a glance

- **One CNAME record**: Point your domain at cname.antideploy.com
- **HTTPS included**: Issued and renewed for you
- **From the Go plan**: 3 domains on Go, unlimited on Pro and Scale
- **You add it**: Your agent cannot attach a domain

## The short answer

To connect your own domain, open your app in the Antideploy console, go to its Domains tab and enter the name. Antideploy shows the DNS record to add. Add a `CNAME` record at your registrar that points to `cname.antideploy.com`. The certificate is issued automatically, usually within two minutes of the record going live. Your own domain starts on the Go plan.

## Step by step

### 1. Add the domain in the console

Open the application, go to its Domains tab and enter the name you want. Your agent cannot do this step, because attaching a domain is an action you take in your browser.

### 2. Add one record at your registrar

Antideploy shows the record. The fields are the same for every domain.

**At your registrar**

```
Type         CNAME
Name         www
Points to    cname.antideploy.com
```

A registrar asks for the subdomain part only, not the whole name. For `www.verdant.in`, enter `www`. For a root domain, enter `@`. Getting this wrong is the most common reason a domain waits.

### 3. Wait for it to go live

The domain shows Waiting for DNS until the record is seen, then it reads Live. Nothing is served from the domain until the certificate exists.

## A bare domain or www

For a root domain such as `verdant.in`, some registrars call the record `ALIAS` or `ANAME` instead of `CNAME`, and a few cannot do it at all. If yours cannot, use a subdomain such as `www.verdant.in`, which works everywhere.

## What it costs

- Free: no custom domain. You get an address ending in `.antideploy.app`, which you can rename as often as you like
- Go: 3 custom domains, counted across your account
- Pro and Scale: as many as you need
- HTTPS is included on every domain, with the certificate issued and renewed for you

## Sign-in follows your domain

If your app uses Antideploy sign-in, your custom domain is registered as a trusted origin automatically when you attach it. Your Antideploy address can still be renamed whenever you like, and the old address stops working at once, so update any links first.

### How long until it works?

The certificate is issued usually within two minutes of the record going live. How quickly the record itself becomes visible depends on your registrar.

### Why is my domain still waiting for DNS?

Check the record. The name must be the subdomain part only, and it must point to `cname.antideploy.com`. A domain that does not resolve at all usually means a typo in the name.

### Do I pay extra for HTTPS?

No. HTTPS is included on every domain.

### Can my coding agent add the domain?

No. Attaching a domain is done in your browser, on the application's Domains tab. Your agent can still deploy the app it points to.

### Can I attach a domain I do not own?

No. A certificate is only issued once the record really points to Antideploy, so nobody can attach a domain they do not control.

## Deploy something. Start with one sentence.

Paste one sentence into your coding agent, click Approve once, and get a live link. No card, no trial clock.

To set this up, give your coding agent this sentence:

```text
Set this project up to deploy on Antideploy. Fetch https://antideploy.com/agent.md and follow it.
```
