# Free hosting for students and first projects in India.

URL: https://antideploy.com/blog/free-hosting-for-students-and-first-projects-in-india

The Free plan needs no card and has no trial clock. It is enough for a portfolio, a class project or a first app with a database.

## At a glance

- **No card**: Start without one
- **Unlimited static sites**: Free forever
- **1 app with a server**: And 1 Postgres database
- **10 deploys a month**: Failed deploys are free

## The short answer

Yes, you can host projects for free on Antideploy. The Free plan needs no card and has no trial clock. It includes unlimited static sites, 1 live app with a server, 10 successful deploys a month and 1 Postgres database. There is nothing to verify and no student form. You start by pasting one sentence into your coding agent.

## What you can build on Free

- **A portfolio or a class website.** A static site, such as plain HTML or a Vite or React build, is free and unlimited. You can host as many as you like.
- **A first app with a backend.** One live app with a server, for example a Flask, Express or FastAPI app, with its own Postgres database.
- **A scheduled task.** Three scheduled jobs per app, for example a daily reminder.
- **An AI feature.** Create an AI key for your app and top up a small wallet by UPI when you want it to call models.

## What the free plan does not include

- No custom domain. You get an address ending in `.antideploy.app`, which you can rename as often as you like. Your own domain starts on the Go plan
- Apps sleep when idle, and the first request after a quiet spell takes a few seconds
- One live app with a server. Static sites do not count toward it
- Ten successful deploys a month for an app with a server. Failed deploys are free, and static site deploys never count

## Tips to stay within the plan

- **Put plain websites in static sites.** They never use your one app slot.
- **Turn off deploy on every push** for an app connected to GitHub, if you push often. Then you choose when a deploy uses one of your 10.
- **Fix failed deploys freely.** They never count.

## Here's where it stops.

A platform that only tells you what it is good at is one you find the edges of in production. These are the ones to know before your first deploy.

### Apps sleep when idle

On every plan, an app nobody is using goes to sleep and the next visit wakes it. The first request took 2.9 to 13.9 seconds in our measurements, depending on the stack. There are no always-on workers, so use a cron job or a webhook for background work.

### One region

Everything runs in Singapore, with the database beside the app. Users far from Asia will see slower responses.

### 10 deploys a month on Free

Only successful deploys of apps with a server count. Static sites never do, and a failed deploy is free.

## Student questions, answered.

Anything else? Write to us and a person answers.

### Do I need a college email or a student ID?

No. The plan is for everyone and has no student check.

### Will my project stay online?

Yes, on the Free plan, as long as you stay within its limits. It sleeps when idle and wakes on the next visit.

### Can I show it to my teacher or interviewer?

Yes. Share the address. The first visit after a quiet spell can take a few seconds, so open it once before you show it.

### What if I outgrow the Free plan?

Go is ₹399 a month for 3 live apps and 3 custom domains. Nothing you built is deleted when you change plans.
